Lecturer Gençtan Erman UĞUR from the Marina and Yacht Management Program of the Department of Transportation Services participated in the "removing solid waste and garbage from the sea" event organized by Çanakkale Municipality within the scope of June 5 World Environmental Protection Day.

Mr. UĞUR participated as a diver along with faculty members at ÇOMÜ Faculty of Marine Sciences and Technology and ÇOMÜ Underwater Research and Application Center.

The event took place in front of Kepez Barış Cafe and the waste taken from the sea was brought to the shore to be exhibited to the public.
